My life in its first draft!
With cosmic pencil, analyze
And then perform your craft
I’m swamped with character and plot
I haven’t got a theme
This drama has me all distraught
I need to be redeemed
O Editor, help me rewrite
This tangled history
Trim out the dialogue outright
And cut the mystery
And then I’ll wake with vision fresh
And hope in new supply
O grant this editing request
And give me a retry
